What Echo Beach is really like
Echo Beach is a short way up the coast from Batu Bolong and it has a very different character. It breaks over reef, so the wave is faster and more powerful than our home break.
This is a progression spot, not a learn-to-surf spot. We bring people here once the pop-up is solid and they can already ride an unbroken wave, usually as part of intermediate coaching or a guided session reading the conditions together.
On the right day it is one of the more rewarding waves close to Canggu. On the wrong day, or at the wrong tide, it is not the place to be learning, which is why we choose it deliberately rather than by default.
Is it right for you?
Not a beginner lesson spot. A progression and intermediate-coaching wave, surfed once your pop-up is reliable.
Getting there
A short ride north along the coast from the Batu Bolong base. We meet at the agreed point and head out together.
