Our story
How it started
Viccy Drew Surf began in 2017 with two brothers who grew up with saltwater in their blood and a simple idea: teaching people to surf should feel like surfing with mates, not booking a tour.
Years later, that hasn't changed. We still run every session ourselves on the beaches we know best across Bali, from our home break in Canggu to the Bukit, and we still measure a good day by how many people paddle in smiling and stay in touch afterwards.
Viccy, Head Coach
Born in Nias, one of Indonesia's most famous surf islands, Viccy has spent his life in the water. He's our head coach, an ASI accredited surfing instructor and a trained surf lifesaver, which means he reads the ocean instinctively and keeps every student safe while pushing them just enough to progress.
Drew
Drew is the heart of the crew on the beach, organising sessions, hyping up nervous first-timers, and making sure everyone leaves with a story and a few new friends.

Plenty of people will offer to take you surfing in Bali. Viccy is an internationally accredited surf instructor and a certified surf lifesaver, with real qualifications and safety training behind every session, so you can relax and focus on learning.

The international benchmark for surf coaching. Covers surfing skill and knowledge, structured teaching for beginners, and ocean risk management and safety.
Surf Rescue Certificate

Formal surf rescue training: spotting hazards, reading rips and conditions, and getting a swimmer out of trouble fast.
Senior First Aid Certificate

Hands-on emergency first aid, so the right help is there in the water and on the sand if it is ever needed.
