The breaks

Bali surf spots

These are the breaks Viccy and Drew genuinely teach or guide at, from our home in Canggu to Uluwatu for confident surfers. Pick a spot for the full local guide.

Where to surf

Every break we run

We choose the spot for your session by your level, the tide and the crowd that day. Here is how each one works.

Batu Bolong

Beginner to Intermediate

Beach break

surf lessons

Our home break. A long, forgiving wave over a mellow bottom, the ideal place to learn and the heart of the Canggu surf scene.

Best in: Mid tide, smaller swell, mornings before the crowd

Read the Batu Bolong guide

Echo Beach

Intermediate to Advanced

Reef break

surf coaching

A punchier reef-bottom wave just up the coast. Faster and more powerful, where you head once your pop-up is solid.

Best in: Mid to high tide, clean swell

Berawa

Honest note

Canggu lessons, Bukit guiding

Most first lessons happen around Canggu because the waves are more forgiving. The Bukit reefs like Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Balangan are different: reef, current, crowd and power, so we only treat them as guided options for the right level.

If you want to surf further afield, talk to us about a guided surf tour and we will be honest about what suits your level. No one needs to be pushed into a wave that is not right for them.
